God's People for God's Purpose, St. Mark 14:36 is the mission. Gethsemane is a place where we live by the commitment that Jesus Christ made in the Garden of Gethsemane, "not what I will, but what thou wilt".
The vision is written in Acts 3:19, "times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord". God will move us to repent, be changed, be forgiven, and bring new vibrant life to the church and community. We will renew and restore the spiritual, mental, and physical well being of everything connected to us.
We believe in the truth and authority of the Old and New Testaments (II Timothy 3:16).
We believe Jesus is the Son of God and God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).
We believe that those who confess Jesus Christ should have a lifestyle consistent with the Word of God (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to aid believers in godly living and effective service (Acts 1:8).
We believe everyone should have an opportunity to be saved and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).
We believe Jesus Christ will return to earth to redeem the saints (I Thessalonians 4:17) and judge those who have rejected Him (Revelation 20:15).
Acknowledge God's love for you and His desire to have a personal relationship with you through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).
Surrender to God by allowing Him to change your life as you accept His forgiveness and commit to a new life with Jesus (II Corinthians 5:17).
Commit yourself to a local church so you can receive solid biblical teaching and spiritual support. Pray and read the bible to learn of God's purpose for your life. Use your gifts, talents, and abilities to glorify God. Tell others about the wonderful change that God has made in your life.
