Saying, “I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.” Hebrews 2:12
"When you meet together, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, as you praise the Lord with all your heart." Ephesians 5:19
When you become a Christian you become a minister. If God bless you with the gift to sing, you will also receive the responsibility to be a minister through music. The choir is a good place to carry out that facet of your ministry.
At Gethsemane, God has blessed us with several choirs whose ages range from toddlers to Senior adults. Each choir has its own style of music that touches hearts and minds of the diverse population of our church. Our main goal each Sunday is to usher our congregation into praise and worship through songs that will allow the Holy Spirit to fill them as well as to be the forerunner for the preaching of the gospel and invite sinners to accept Jesus Christ.
"And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever."
II Chronicles 20:21
